‘High Fibre' has grown out of Fiona Henderson's experience as a knitwear designer developing directional fabrics and colour stories for individual studios and companies in New York and Japan.
Her love of developing new techniques and experimenting with traditional handicrafts led her to explore the process of yarn making. The focus has been to create yarns using natural fibres where the coloured or textured effects are knitted in rather than dyed or applied. This resulted in a unique collection of lightweight chunky yarns.

The yarns in the Supreme Collection are made from 100% Lambswool spun in Scotland and have been lightly felted. They are knitted by machine and hand finished at the High Fibre Studio based in the Fenland countryside of West Norfolk. Hand knitted on big needles they make large scale stitches creating fabrics with a three dimensional quality that knit up easily and quickly. The colours have been specially selected to be used on their own or in tonal harmonies. Apart from hand knitting the yarn has endless possibilities for other individual creative projects like weaving, appliqué and jewellery making.
