Mission & Values

Loop strives to intentionally create a safe respectful space where everyone has a sense of belonging in the knitting community. This means that whatever your sexuality, race, nationality or however you identify, you are always welcome at Loop.

Loop has always wanted both our London shop and our presence on social media to be a place of solace and respite from all the turmoil we see in the world right now. We believe we need places of stillness and beauty to be able to feel joy and inspiration. This is vital for connection and wellbeing.

Since its inception 16 years ago, Loop have been pioneers as the first wool shop that showcased yarns and designers from every corner of the world that had never been seen before in the UK, as well as featuring and promoting small businesses from a variety of backgrounds.

Our ethos has always been to give back and support others. With the help of our great community, Loop has donated and fundraised for many organisations including the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, Hope Not Hate and Medecins Sans Frontieres over the years and we will continue to do so. Supporting these organisations is so important to us as they are doing vital work fighting injustice and racism and supporting minorities.

There is so much diversity and great talent in the knitting community and we want Loop to help bring that talent to the forefront with our usual sense of beauty, joy and unique aesthetic.

We believe the act of creativity can only be enriched when more people, from all walks of life, are seen and heard.

Loop is very proud to be a supporter of BIPOC in fiber and all the great work they do.
